OBITUARY.
Mary Eugina Siddall was born in New Oregon, Iowa, July 14, 1876.{sic} She was married to Fred Salisbury, Nov. 28, 1883. Four children were born to them, Laurel Marguerite, Olive Elizabeth, Gladys Mae and Marion Louise. Laurel preceded her to the better world, while the other three, her husband, and one granddaughter, Laurel Fay, mourn her departure.
For a number of months Mrs. Salisbury had been a great sufferer and knew that death was near, yet she was never heard to complain. She said she was ready to go and, at her request, the sacrament of baptism was administered to her. She departed this life Dec. 26, 1910. She was a loving wife, an affectionate mother, and a kind neighbor.
The funeral was held at the Methodist church, the services being conducted by the pastor, Rev. Maxwell, the Royal Neighbors, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Beautiful flowers testified the love of her many friends both in Cresco and Lime Springs. “Nearer My God to Thee,” “Lead Kindly Light,” and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again,” were rendered by a Cresco choir.
The family have the sympathy of their many friends in their great bereavement.
