The remains of E. A. Young were brought to Cresco on Monday for interment in Oak Lawn. A funeral service was held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the H. W. Young residence.

OBITUARY.
YOUNG.
Edward Alonzo Young, son of Rev. William and Eliza Jane Young, was born at Dyersville, Iowa, March 14, 1856, and died at his home in St. Paul November 25, 1910. December 25, 1888, he was united in marriage to Mary Louisa Kellow of Cresco. To this union two daughters were born, one dying in infancy. The wife and little daughter, Edith, with two sisters and two brothers are left to mourn his departure. Mrs. Sanborn and Mrs. Estes of Minneapolis, Prof. R. G. Young of Victor, Mont., and Henry W. Young of Cresco.
Deceased was a member of Grace Methodist Episcopal church of St. Paul, lived a beautiful Christian life, died in the triumphs of a living faith. His last testimony was, “I trust, I trust in Jesus. Goodbye, goodbye everybody.”
He was a devoted husband and father, kind and loving brother, sunny and cheerful in disposition. For a number of years was in the employ of the Northern Pacific railway company and was a most efficient and careful engineer, no lives ever having been lost through any neglect or carelessness upon his part. Was loved and esteemed by all associated with him in the service of that road.
Funeral services were held at his home in St. Paul, after which his remains were brought to the home of his brother in Cresco Tuesday afternoon. A short service was held conducted by Rev. Gammons. A few choice selections of scripture were read, some appropriate remarks were made and prayer offered, concluding with an impressive solo, “Face to Face’' by Mrs. Etta Abbott, accompanied by Miss Reba Counselman. Interment in Oaklawn cemetery.
