Mrs. Steve Foye and daughter of Madison, Wis., came Tuesday morning to be present at the burial of her father Joe Willhelm.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery and was born in 1847. It also shows the spelling of the last name as Wilhelm.

WILHELM.
Joseph Frederick Wilhelm was born January 3d, 1847, in Bureau county, III. He was married to Sarah E. Fessenden at Mineral Point, Wis., October 3d, 1868. To them eighteen children were born. Twelve survive him. Bert lives at Dell Rapids, S. D., Arch at Bradshaw, Neb., Earl at Parmo, N. D., Nora Foy at Madison, Wis., Hattie Windmiller and Roy at Cresco, Iowa, Jessie Sweet and Maud Conklin at Chester, Iowa, Blanche, Herbert, Frederick and Sadie reside at home with their mother near York, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm moved to Howard countv, Iowa, twenty-eight years ago this spring.
Monday morning, April 25th, 1910, the silent reaper gathered him to the heavenly home. Mr. Wilhelm was a man greatly respected by all who knew him, as was attested by the crowded house that came to the service held in the Methodist church in Lime Springs on Wednesday afternoon, April 27th.
Mr. Wilhelm was a member of Cottonwood Camp, M. W. A. The members of which, as well as delegations from other lodges, were present in a body and marched to the cemetery. During the pastorate of Rev. H. J. Bowder he united with the Methodist church in Lime Springs.
Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Williams who spoke from John 1:47, “Behold an Israelite indeed in whom is no guile.”
