Former Cresco Lady Dead.
Mrs. L. B. McCartey, a resident of Cresco 25 years ago, and widow of the late H. C. McCartey, once a prominent attorney here, died at the home of her only son, N. D. Barker, of Marshall, Minn., Jan. 19, 1910, of cancer, at the age of 66. Mr. Barker and his mother left Cresco in 1885, and she has never been back, though Mr. Barker, who is now on the road for the Mergenthaler Linotype Co., of Chicago, has been here occasionally during the past few years, and is well known to many of the old settlers.
