Mrs. Matt DeFord of this place died early Saturday morning. Mrs. DeFord has been in ill health for some months and on Saturday morning resigned herself to her fate and expired. We hope for a data for obituary next week.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a grave shows this was Amelia who was born September 16, 1883 and died December 18, 1909. It shows the spelling of the last name as Deford and that she is buried in Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Riceville.
