Eugene Harmon, a former Howard county resident met death by accident on Tuesday at Trego, Wis. The remains will be brought to Cresco for interment, the funeral occuring at the Baptist church this afternoon.

OBITUARY.
Eugene Harmon, a former resident of this county, met an accidental and instantaneous death at 8:30 a. m., Tuesday, May 11th at Trego, Wis. While sawing wood with a machine, the saw loosened and struck him, almost sever¬ing the neck from the body.
The deceased was born in Waukesha county, Wis., Sept. 12, 1956,{sic} and therefore at the time of his death had attained the age of 52 years, 7 months and 29 days. He moved to Illinois when two years of age, and in 1862 came to Iowa, where he lived until about five years ago, when he moved to Wisconsin.
He leaves to mourn his loss, three sisters, Mrs. Butler, of Lena, Ill.; Mrs. Davis of Graveslake, Ill.; Mrs. Peter Fravel, of Cresco; four brothers, Elon, residing in California, David ol Oelwein, Iowa; Benjamin, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Julius, of Cresco, as well as several nephews and numerous friends.
The funeral services were held in the Baptist church Friday, May 14th, conducted by Rev. Hill. Interment was in New Oregon cemetery.
