BOYLE.
James Boyle was born in county Sligo, Ireland, Feb. 4, 1830. Died at Chester, Howard county, Iowa, April 21, 1909, aged 79 years, 2 months and 17 days.
When 16 years of age he came to America with his parents and settled Newberyport, Mass. June 29. 1850, he he{sic} was united in marriage to Cathraine Pyne. About five years after his marriage he moved to Davis county, Ill., where he lived one year and then moved to La Fayette county Wis., where be lived until 1878, when he moved to Charles City, Iowa, and four years later moved to Howard county, which has been his home ever since.
To Mr. and Mrs. Boyle were born eight children, Mary, Bridget, John, Henry, Edward. James, Frank and Catherine. James died Aug. 14, 1887. Mrs. Boyle passed to her heavenly home April 27, 1903. For five or six years Mr. Boyle’s health has not been good. Catherine lives in Fayette county, this state, and Edward resides at Austin, Minn. All the other children reside in this vicinity. Eleven grandchildren also mourn his loss.
The funeral services was held Friday April 23, Rev. H. Williams officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Lime Springs.—Chester Herald.
