SUDDEN DEATH

William L. Martin, who, for some months past has been suffering from a disease of the lungs, died suddently on the morning of Nov. 30th from hemorrhage of the lungs. But a few moments before his death he was at the post office for mail; returned to the Grocery of Mr. Burdick, in which he was employed as clerk, cleaned out the room, built a fire, and putting matters in order for a days work went up to the Hotel where his wife lay sick, was taken violently with bleeding at the lungs, and was dead in less time than it takes to read this brief notice.

Mr. M. was a most estimable citizen possessed of many positive virtues--and without an enemy in the whole range of his acquaintances. He leaves a wife and on child to mourn the loss of a kind husband and indulgent parent.
