DIED--In Vernon Springs, January 20th, 1864, Edwin, youngest son of S. O. and Mary A. Daggett aged two years and ten months.

A most heart-rending calamity befel{sic} the family of S. O. Daggett one day this week, resulting in the death of a child nearly three years of age. It appears that the little fellow by some means fell backward into a pail of hot water scalding him so severely that he died in a few hours after.
