DIED—Mr. Frank Chyle Sr., one of our oldest settlers, died at his home in Protivin, Monday morning, April 5th. He was born in Pocepic, Bohemia, Dec. 3, 1847. In 1855, he came with his parents to Hamilton,- Canada. In 1860, he moved with his parents to Howard County where he has since resided to the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Jira, Feb. 24, 1873, at Chicago. Ten children were born to them of which the following are still living: Mrs. Mary Shores, Mrs. Thomas Pecinovsky, Miss Beatrice Chyle, James, Frank and Charles Chyle. Four of the children preceded him in death, their names are as follows: Frank, Joseph, Louisa and Agnes. The funeral of Mr. Chyle was held from the Holy Trinity church, Wednesday, the 7th, and the remains were laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. We sympathize with his many friends and relatives. May he rest in peace.
