Peter Fravel passed away at four o’clock Thursday morning. The funeral takes place tomorrow at the home in New Oregon township.

Peter Fravel born August 17th, 1839, died Jan. 14th, 1909, age 69 years, 4 months and 27 days. Born in Rhrinish, Bavaria Germany, near Kaiser Lantern. Came to America at age of 7 years with his parents, settled near Buffalo, N. Y. In 1853 moved to Stevenson county, Ill,, where in 1862 he was married to Lucy Harmon. To this union three children were born, Georgia H. who died in infancy, Elbert E., Julius E. who with their mother survive him. Also three brothers and one sister Dan Fravel of Nashville, Tenn., Henry Fravel of Westbrook, Minn., and William of Kinsley, Kansas, Mrs. Caroline Klingle of Cresco, la., besides five grandchildren and about twenty nephews and nieces to mourn his death.
Deceased came to Iowa and settled in the fall of 1864, and the next spring moved on the farm where he has resided ever since.
Funeral occurred from his late home and interment in New Oregon cemetery, conducted by Rev. Hill.
