We are sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Nelson Gager in Orleans on Thursday morning of last week. Mrs. Gager has been ill all summer and has been a great sufferer and death came as a glad release. Mr. and Mrs. Gager are among the few old settlers that are left. Mrs. Gager was about 80 years of age. She was a kind and loving mother and neighbor and will be missed by all. Mr. Gager and family have the sincere sympathy of all. The funeral was held at the Morgan church on Friday. The services were conducted by Rev. Hall, interment being at Oak Lawn cemetery at Cresco.

Transcriber’s Note: Oak Lawn Cemetery shows this was Mary and that she was born August 19, 1825.
