Mrs. H. G. Addie received a telegram last Thursday bearing the sad news of the death of her sister, Mrs. Dosia McVety, of Wallace, Idaho. The news was unexpected as she was believed to be recovering nicely from a surgical operation which was performed at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Wash., in February. Mrs. McVety will be remembered by many Cresco people as Dosia Little, who spent part of her girlhood and young womanhood here. She was buried at Spokane, Wash., Sunday, April 19th, her mother and sisters being unable to reach there in time for her funeral.

Theodosia Little was born in Arlington, Fayette county, Iowa, Feb. 4th 1873, the fourth daughter of W. D. and R. A. Little. There the early years of her life were spent, the family moving from Arlington to West Union in 1884, and to Cresco, Howard county, Iowa, in 1886, where on Feb. 9, 1888, the dear father was called home and the bereaved wife with her five daughters again moved to Arlington.
At the age of eighteen Dosia was baptized and united with the Christian church of Arlington of which denomination she was a faithful member till the time of her death.
In 1893 she went to Miner county, S. D., to teach school and on Jan. 27, 1894, she was married at the home of her mother in Cresco to Henry H. McVety of Roswell, S. D. To this union three children were born, a daughter and two sons, aged respectively thirteen, eleven and eight years.
In 1899 with her husband and children she went west, residing for some time at Great Falls, Mont, where in in{sic}the summer of 1903 she underwent a surgical operation and later in November the same year underwent another operation at the hospital in Rochester, Minn.
On returning to the west her home was for some time at Kalispell, Mont., and again at Spokane, Wash. For the last year her home has been at Wallace, Idaho, at which place she died April 16, the result of the third surgi¬al operation her continued suffering and ill health obliged her to undergo.
She was a devoted wife and mother, a kind loving sister and a dutiful daughter. Besides the bereaved husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss her mother, Mrs. R. A. Little of Cresco and four sisters; Mrs. C. A. Holcomb and Mrs. H. G. Addie of Cresco, Mrs. W. H. Kuney of Arlington, Iowa, and Mrs. J. E. Shepherd of Davenport, Wash., only the latter being present at her funeral which took place at Spokane, Wash., Sunday, April 19.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Spokane, Washington.
