“Stricken by heart disease or apoplexy as he was about to leave an Eighth and Central car at Fourth St. and Central avenue early last evening, J. A. Dilworth, a veteran of the civil war, died a few minutes after he had been taken into a store on the corner and before a physican{sic}could reach him.
Mr. Dilworth entered the car at Lake street. He was nearly 80 years of age, and appeared to be very much fatigued at the time, he asked the conductor to awaken him at East Island avenue in case he should fall asleep. He went to arouse the old man, who apparently fallen asleep. He appeared to be dazed and it was with some difficulty that he was assisted off the car and taken into a nearby store.
