HASBROUCK.
The El Paso, Texas, Daily Times of Sept. 14 contained the following obituary:
Mary F. Hasbrouck died at Hotel Dieu Thursday afternoon of typhoid fever and the remains were shipped yesterday over the Rock Island.
She was the wife of C. A. Hasbrouck, contracting manager for railroad work with the American Bridge company at Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Hasbrouck came to El Paso last November for Mr. Hasbrouck’s health. Mrs. Hasbrouck devoted her time and attention so closely to her husband that she was known to but few people, but her amiability and daintiness will be long remembered by those who knew her.
Her body will go to her girlhood home in Iowa for the funeral service, and to Ithaca, N. Y., her husband’s home, for burial.
The loneliness of the invalid husband who must stay here, has touched the hearts of friends and strangers alike. All express sympathy.
Mrs. Hasbrouck was the daughter of Mrs. B. F. Fobes. She was born in New Oregon March 10, 1861, and was married to Charles Hasbrouch at her home in Cresco June 14, 1893, the late Rev. O. A. Marshall performing the ceremony.
A short service conducted by Rev. Hinman was held at the family residence in Cresco Monday and the remains then taken to New York for burial.
