Mrs. B. Flood passed away Sunday morning at her home just north of town after a few week’s illness. Her funeral was held this morning from the Church of the Assumption. We hope to publish her obituary in a succeeding issue.

Nellie, daughter of Matthew and Mary O’Malley, was born near Westport, Ireland, March 25, 1842, and departed this life September 1, 1907, aged 65 years, 5 months and 6 days. Her mother died in 1845. In 1850 the deceased came to the United States with her father and family, who located in Washington county, N. Y., where her father bought a farm and where the family resided for some time, moving from there to Rock county, Wis., where the family resided for some time and where her father died. In 1873, at Prairie du Chien, Wis., she was united in marriage to Bernard Flood, removing to Minnesota where they resided about five years, and in 1878 came to Howard county where they have since resided.
She is mourned by her husband, two children, Mrs. Bernadine Mullen and son Matthew; one sister, Mrs. Mary Mullen and a,brother, P. F. O’Malley; together with other relatives, her neighbors and numerous friends. Words cannot express the esteem in which she was held by those who knew her. She was a true and loving wife, a kind and affectionate mother and a noble and generous Christian woman, esteemed as a neighbor and friend by every acquaintance.
Her funeral took place on Tuesday morning from the Church of the Assumption, with interment in St Joseph’s cemetery.
