OBITUARY.
Mrs. Anne Foulkes was born at a place called Tynddal, Blaenan, Festinlag, North Wales, on the 3rd day of May, 1846, therefore she was a little over 61 years of age when she died.
When she was about three years of age the family came to this country and settled at Blue Mounds, Wis. In January 25th 1870, she was married to Henry C. Foulkes. Having lived at Blue Mound for four years they moved to Bristol Grove, Minn. where they re-mained until the spring of 1878, when they settled at Saratoga in this county. In March 1886, the family moved to Winfred, S. D. In the spring of 1902, they moved to this town. Eight children were born to them, of whom six are living. Besides her husband and children, she leaves three brothers and one sister to mourn her loss. She was taken home at half past five Monday afternoon, July 8, 1907. Cancer of the stomach was the cause of her death.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Pleasant Hill Cemetery shows the spelling of her first name as Ann.
