F. J. Mead has received the sad news of the death of his brother Thomson G. Mead, of Busti, N. Y., who passed away on Thursday, March 14th, aged nearly 79 years, from an attack of lagrippe. The deceased died on the old home farm which was opened up by the father of the family in the pioneer days of western New York and where the family of seven were reared to manhood and womanhood, only three of whom F. J., of Cresco, and two sisters, one at Busti, N. Y., and one in Michigan, survive.
