Eddie Woellstein Passes Away.
In our last issue we mentioned the return from Toronto, in a greatly enfeebled condition of Edward J. Woel-lstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woellstein, and today it is our sad task to write of his death, which occurred last evening. Dec 17, at 5:30, He was past seventeen years of age. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the home at 1 o’clock. The sorrowing parents and relatives have the sincere sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.

WOELLSTEIN.
Edward J. Woellstein, second son of Frederic C. Woellstein and Mary Sophia, his wife, was born April 23d, 1889 about 6 miles south of Cresco. A few years later his father moved to town and here is was where the deceased grew up and received his schooling. April 2d, 1905, after due instruction he vowed to be faithful to Christ unto death and was confirmed a member of the Lutheran church. October last he left for Toronto, Canada, to study veterinary science, for which he had a special liking. Although he was the picture of strong young manhood he was taken sick with diphtheria Oct. 27, but recovered and seemed to be out of danger. Two weeks ago he suffered a relapse and arrived home last Thursday in a very precarious condition. Gradually weakening he passed away Monday evening, Dec. 17th, at half past five, leaving his parents, two brothers, and aged grandparents to mourn his untimely death. Age 17 years, 7 months, 24 days. Interment was in New Oregon cemetery, Rev. Pless officiating.
