John Conry died Friday, September 14, at his home in Washington twp. after a short illness, of cancer of the colon. Mr. Conry was born in Batlimore,{sic} Md., September 20, 1845. He came to Iowa with his parents in 1855 and this county has been his home ever since. He is survived by his wife and four children, also by his brothers, Thomas, James and Michael and a sister, Mrs. B. Flaherty, of Howard county. He was an honest, hard working man and those who were nearest to him and knew him best regret his death, The funeral was held Monday from the Catholic church at Lourdes.—Flma New Era .
