CUMMINS.
Mrs. Thomas Cummins passed away at her home in Cresco at about 10:30 o’clock, Thursday June 14, 1906, after an illness of several weeks.
Anne Townsend was born in county Kilkenny, Ireland, in 1831, coming to Canada originally, where at Toronto, in 1854, she was united in marriage to Thomas Cummins. In 1857 they came to the United States, settling in this county where they have since resided.
The deceased was the mother of seven children, four of whom, with the husband are left to mourn the loss of wife and mother. The children still living are William of Cresco, Phillip of Chicago, Mrs. Joseph Hayes of Cresco, and Mrs. W. J. Gray, of Chicago.
The funeral occurred Saturday forenoon, June 16th, from the Church of the Assumption, with interment in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
