John R. Briegel Dead.
We are in receipt of a letter from New York City announcing the death of John R. Briegel in that city on Sunday, April 22. His father reached the bed side of his son a few hours before his death, and was rewarded for his long and anxious trip by being recognized by his boy who was still conscious.
John R. Briegel, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Briegel was born in the town of Bloomfield, Wis., June 18, 1886, and came to Howard county with his parents in 1890 where he has since lived until about three months ago when he went to New York city to learn clothing cutting with his brother-in-law, and was progressing nicely, and had so soon received promotion and words of commendation from his employes. He was a member of Maple Camp No. 1344, M. W. A., joining less than a year ago.
We are not advised as to the place of burial, but presume it will be in New York city.
