Obituary.
Martha Morris was born April 12, 1826, in County Lathrum, Ireland, and emigrated to America in 1838, settling in Allamakee county, Iowa, near Rossville in 1856, where she made her home until about two years ago when she came to Cresco to make her home with her foster-daughter, Mrs. C. H. Webster. She was married to James Elliott in 1863, who died about 1878. Her death occurred Saturday, March 4th, aged 78 years 11 months and 28 days, at the home of Mr. Webster and the funeral was held the day following, Rev. John Gammons officiating. Interment was In New Oregon Cemetery.
