Fred Fairchild, of South Bend, Ind., died at the home of his brother, Eben Fairchild, in Chester, Sunday morning, Dec. 1, 1901, with Bright’s disease. It was his wish that he might die in Chester and be laid beside his father and mother in the Chester cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in Chester Hill Cemetery indicates he died November 30, 1901 and that he was born August 20, 1842.
