Our informant was mistaken about the Kostka who recently died at Protivjn. It was Jos. Kostka instead of James. The one who passed away had his shop near Kalashiek’s the other in north Protivin near Novak’s store.

The Angel of Death paid us his unexpected and undesirable visit since our last correspondence by taking away in the prime of life two of our good neighbors, Will Huber aged about 35 years, and Joseph Kostka aged 35 years who died Oct. 29th, after less than a week’s sickness; both were prominent members of the M. W. A. , then the only child of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Burnett died Nov. 3rd.
