In Memoriam.
Grace Huldah Wallace, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Wallace, was born Oct. 26, 1882, at their home south of Saratoga, where she lived the greater part of her life until March 9,1901, when at 10:30 p. m. she passed from this life to her home above.
Some three years ago her health began to fail and her mother took her to Chicago for treatment, which for a time seemed to benefit her, but the seeds of that dread disease tuberculosis were so firmly seated that the best medical skill and all the loving care of family and friends were of no avail. Since last September she steadily failed, and the last two months her suffering was intense but she bore it with Christian fortitude, and although this life had so many charms for her, she said in her last moments, if it was the Lord’s will to take her, she was willing to go: telling her parents and brother not to mourn. Words fail to express the pure, exemplary life that she lived from childhood. Thus, one more link is added to the chain of those who loved her to draw them into the fold. She leaves her parents and one brother, and a loving grandmother, besides hosts of friends, to mourn her loss.
The funeral services were held at her home Tuesday, March 12th, at l:30 p. m., Rev. O. L. McCleary conducting the services assisted by Rev. Webb, and her remains were laid to rest in the Saratoga Cemetery.
