Frank Goettel, better known among his intimate acquaintances as "Little Butch,” died Thursday evening at Mrs. Hagen’s boarding house after a short illness lasting about four days. It appears that the young man was helping a friend to build a log shack on a claim near Tampico, when he was taken sick with inflamation of the bowels and brought to Glasgow for treatment. The case developed into peritonitis and Thursday evening an abscess burst in the peritoneum which resulted in his almost immediate death. Frank came to this country about two years ago and for a time was employed as a ranch hand by George White near Tampico. Later he secured a position with Bush Myers in the meat market but gave it up last fall. From that time he had been doing some work on his claim east of town. He was a favorite among the boys and bad many friends who are grieved at his sudden death. His parents reside at Cresco, Iowa, and to that place the remains will be shipped for interment.—North Montana Review, March 26.
