This community was shocked and saddened by the sudden death last week of Mrs. Wm. Hughes of the old town. She had gone for a short visit to the home of Edward Williams, south of this place, where she passed away in the night. She had been in poor health a number of years. The funeral was held at the Welsh church Friday.— Lime Springs Sun.

Transcriber’s Note: Pleasant Hill Cemetery records indicate this was Jane. She was born in 1838.
