Miss Hattie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garret Meverden, crossed the dark river of death Wednesday morning. We are without data as to her age, but having spent nearly all the years of her life in Cresco she was well known to all its people, who sympathize with all who mourn her untimely death.

Transcriber’s Note: Oak Lawn Cemetery records show she is buried there and was born in 1870.
