Obituary.
Ellen M. Morse was born in Vermont Rutland Co., July 1823; with her parents she moved to Michigan, then to Ohio, she was educated at Oberlin and from there moved to Wisconsin and later to Iowa. In 1868 she came to Howard Co., near New Oregon where she lived with a brother, Geo. Morse. In 1871 she was united in marriage with J. Edgar Rose and has lived in and near Cresco to the present time. She departed this life Sunday, April 27th, 1902, at 9:30 a. m. She was a member of the Congregational church and a faithful and noble christian. The past sixteen years of her life she has been an invalid, being the greater part of that time confined to her home. But words fail to express the sweet patience with which she bore her suffering. She leaves to mourn her loss a kind and devoted husband, a loving sister and brother. The sister and brother being unable to be present. The funeral was held at the house Tuesday morning conducted by Rev. O. H. Holmes; interment in New Oregon Cemetery.
CARD OF THANKS.
I desire to express by thanks for the many acts of kindness shown at the time of my recent bereavement in the death of my wife, and especially to thank the choir of the Congregational church for its appropriate music on the occasion. J. E. ROSE.
