Found Dead in Bed.
Mrs. Hannah E. Eaton widow of Artemus Eaton, was found dead in bed Sunday morning at the home of her son in this city. Mrs. Eaton was 86 years of age. Her remains will be interred in the cemetery at Chester beside her husband whose remains repose there. Obituary.
Mrs. Hannah E. Eaton died at the home of her son, I. L. Eaton, in this city Sunday morning, March 23, at the ripe old age of 86 years, 6 months and 15 days. Mrs. Eaton had been in her usual health until a day or to{sic} before her death, and the summons came peacefully and unexpected.
Five children are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother: Frances E., wife of the late A. G. Hubbard; Wells A. Eaton, Sarah E., wife of J. B. Kingsley; Lusian E. and Irvin L. Eaton.
Short funeral services will be held at the M. E. church, Cresco, Thursday at 11 o’clock, when the remains will be taken to Chester where services will be held at 1:30 in the M.E. Church, of that place. Interment will be in the cemetery at Chester, beside her husband, who preceded her to the better world forty years ago the 22nd of last February. Mr. Eaton was the original donor of the lot for cemetery purposes at Chester and was the first person buried there.—Republican.Transcriber's Note: Her gravestone shows the name of H. Emeline
