Edward Fitzgerald.
Died of pneumonia about midnight, March 8th, at his home in this city, aged 42 years. He was buried from the Church of the Assumption in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monday morning. He was sick only two weeks, a hale, active man cut down in the prime of life.
He leaves a wife and five children, the eldest 13 years of age, the youngest but ten days old. A brother, John, resides in Orleans township, other relatives who attended his funeral came from Madison, S. D., and from Waukon Iowa.
The pall bearers were members of the Catholic Order of Foresters. The M. B. A. attended in a body. He carried $2,000 society life insurance and $1,000 with the Equitable Life Insurance Co. This thoughtfulness while in vigor has left the family provided for. Deep sympathy is expressed for the bereaved family of the deceased, in the loss of a kind and loving husband and father.
