Mrs. Eda Brown, widow of Joseph Brown, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. White, in Cresco, Friday morning, February 28, at the ripe age of nearly 98 years, which she would have reached in May ensuing. She had been in the enjoyment of her usual health to within about ten days of her demise at which time it is thought she had a slight paralytic stroke. Mrs. Brown was a kind neighbor, a good woman and had the respect of all who had her acquaintance. The funeral was from the house Sunday afternoon; the interment being at Spring Valley, Minn. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Gammons of the M. E. church.
