Emma Lena Taylor was born In Canada, Nov. 30, 1851, and died in Cresco, Jan. 27, 1902, aged 50 years, 1 month and 27 days. When 14 years of she came with her parents and settled near Cresco where she has resided most of the time since. In 1869 she was married to Thos. Dobson. Six children were born to them, five of whom are living. The funeral was held from the M. E. church, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Gammons officiating, the interment being in Oak Lawn cemetery.
