Harvey Mitchell on Tuesday morning received a telegram from Detroit, Mich., saying that his brother-in-law, James Reden, had been fatally injured the day before and was at Harper’s hospital. The afternoon of the same day a second telegram announced his death. No particulars have been received. He worked about town and as porter in the Epps & Mitchell barber shop, leaving here about a year ago.
