It is with sorrow that we record the death of Jas. Otis, of Lime Springs, where he is sorely missed by the many friends and neighbors who have learned his true worth as a kind, true friend and honest neighbor in all his ways and dealings. His sister-in-law and nephew were present to pay him their last tributes of love and respect.

Transcriber’s Note: Pleasant Hill Cemetery records indicate he was born in 1848 and died May 2, 1900.
