Henry W. Shuttleworth Dead.
Henry W. Shuttleworth was born in England and died at the home his daughter, Mrs. B. O. Dahly, on Sunday, at the advanced age of eighty-three years, from a complication of diseases. The funeral services were held yesterday, and the remains were taken to Cresco for burial.—Decorah Public Opinion.
Henry Shuttleworth was among the first settlers of this county, locating on a farm in the southeast corner of this township, from which he came to New Oregon, carrying on the livery business there, but came to Cresco with the opening of business here, conducting the livery business on the premises in the rear of B.R. Evans’ machine office. From Cresco he moved to Caledonia, Traill county, N. D., where he was engaged in the hotel business and county judge while that place was the county seat. He was a prominent member of the Masonic order for years, acting as Tyler of the New Oregon and of Cresco Lodge, No. 150, and was a worthy citizen in all the vocations of life. He was in religious faith of the Episcopal church.Transcriber's Note: There is a Henry Shuttleworth buried in New Oregon Cemetery but no dates of birth or death to indicate if this is the same person.

The Plaindealer supplies these facts as to the life of Henry Shuttleworth (father of Mrs. B. O. Dahley of this city) whoso death occurred last week.—
