Rev. McIntosh brings news of the death of Tom Parkins, of Epworth, Ia., from drinking wood alcohol. In the early ’70’s, he was a tinner in the employ of Lomas Pros. Mr. McIntosh{sic} is a brother-in-law of Mr. E. C. Strayer of this place, and was here visiting him last week.

Transcriber's Note: I think they meant to say that Mr. Parkins was a brother-in-law to Mr. Strayer.
