Elenor Wilkinson dies in Florida
Cremation arrangements and a private memorial service in Cresco will be arranged by the Lindstrom Funeral Home for Elenor Wilkinson.
Elenor, 85, died Friday, May 31, 2002 at Azalea Trace in Pensacola, FL.
Elenor (Elly) M. Wilkinson was born on May 5, 1917 in Cresco, the daughter of James and Amy (Barnes) Sobolik. She graduated from Cresco High School in 1934. She attended Grinnell College, and served during World War II in the Red Cross Corps in Panama.
On June 19, 1946 she married Dr. Paul F. Wilkinson in Chicago, IL. She lived in San Diego, while Dr. Wilkinson served in the Korean Conflict, and LaCrosse, WI while he worked at the Gundersen Clinic. The couple then settled in Rockford, IL. After her husband retired in 1982, they moved to Pensacola, until they moved to Azalea Trace in 1998.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Paul Wilkinson; and one sister: Helen M. Bouska of Cresco.
Elenor was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister: Alice Thies.
