Services were held for Marion VanGrevenhof on Monday, April 8, 2002 at the First Presbyterian Church in LeRoy, Minn, with the Rev. Tom Kolden officiating. Burial was in the Chester Hill Cemetery, near Chester, Iowa.
Marion VanGrevenhof, 91, of LeRoy, passed away. Thursday, April 4 at the Ostrander Nursing Home in Ostrander, Minn. where he had resided for about two years.
VanGrevenhof was born in Sioux Center, Iowa on January 5, 1911 to Martini VanGrevenhof and Anna (VanDeVegte) VanGrevenhof. They moved to Fillmore County near Chester in 1917 and he later moved to the John Miller farm near LeRoy, where he and his brother farmed until 1972, when they moved to LeRoy. He resided in LeRoy until October 1999, when he entered the Ostrander Nursing Home.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in LeRoy.
VanGrevenhof is survived be{sic} one niece Arlys (Jim) Hingeveld of Cherry Grove, Minn. and one grand niece, Angela and one grand nephew Shawn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jacob and Henry and two sisters, Anna and Josaphine.
