Nettie “Vi” Weber, age 94, of Cresco, IA died Friday, March 30, 2018, at Accura Healthcare of Cresco.

Visitation for Nettie “Vi” Weber will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco, with a Scripture service being held at 7 P.M. Committal service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Gilbertville, IA.

Vi was born August 18, 1923 in Waterloo, IA, the only child born to Leonard and Nettie M. (Frye) Perry. She attended schools in Waterloo graduating in 1941. Vi was united in marriage to Alvin Weber on November 29, 1944, at St John’s Catholic Church in Waterloo. Together they farmed in the Jesup, Raymond, and Chester, IA areas before moving to Cresco in 1964. Vi worked as a cook at St Joseph’s School in Cresco for many years, she was a member of Notre Dame Parish in Cresco, she enjoyed crocheting, needlework, and playing 500.

Vi is survived by 4 sons; Larry (Deb) Weber of Clear Lake, IA, Jerry Weber and Allan Weber both of Cresco, IA and Randy (Barb) Weber of LeRoy, MN, a daughter-in-law Shirley Weber of Cresco, IA, 4 grandchildren; Jeremy (Teresa) Weber, Jessie (Jeremy) Lienhard, Melanie (Andy) Richert and Amanda (Nick DeMaio) Weber. Vi is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alvin in 2006.
