Funeral services for Arthur Pecinovsky were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29 at the Holy Trinity Church in Protivin with Rev. Raphael Ludwig officiating. Interment was in Holy Trinity Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Dean Hubka, Rita Baird, Deb Markin, Doug Pecinovsky, Kenneth Pecinovsky, and Scott Pecinovsky. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements:
Arthur, 73, died Thursday, July 25, 2002 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County Hospi¬tal in Cresco.
Arthur Charles Pecinovsky was born June 21, 1929 in Cresco, the son of Carl and Clara (Martinek) Pecinovsky. He attended the Protivin school. Art enlisted in the Marines on February 26, 1954. He transferred to the Reserves and served until 1962.
On August 24, 1968 he married Glenda M. Hugeback at Sacred Heart Parish in Manly. Art was a farmer and lived his whole life in Howard County. He farmed until 1993, then helped his nephew until his health wouldn’t allow it.
He is survived by his wife Glenda of Protivin; one daughter: Eva Pecinovsky of Protivin; and two sisters: Abbie Novak of Protivin and Pauline Hubka of Waucoma.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: Donald.
