Services held for Kenneth Natvig
Funeral services for Kenneth Natvig were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15 at the Saude Lutheran Church in Saude with Rev. Kent Dethlefsen officiating. Interment was in Saude Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jonathan Natvig, Gregg Dahlke, Larry Benz, Mike Webster, Mike Natvig, Dennis Natvig, Mark Natvig, and Allen Borlaug. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Kenneth, 83, died Monday, March 11 at Evans Memorial Home in Cresco of natural causes.
Kenneth O. Natvig was born September 10, 1918 in Howard County, the son of Oscar and Berthilda (Steensland) Natvig. He was baptized and confirmed in the Saude Lutheran Church. He attended rural elementary school at New Oregon #8 in Howard County and graduated from Cresco High School in 1937.
On September 12, 1945 he married Stella Geneva Knutson at the Jerico Lutheran Church. They lived on the family farm and continued farming there until he retired in 1995 and moved to Cresco.
He served for 25 years as a board member of the Tri-County REC. He was a lifelong member of the Saude Lutheran Church where he served on many boards and committees.
He is survived by his wife Stella; three children: Kendall of Webster City, Oakleigh of Cresco, and Sharon Burk of Sacramento, CA; two grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and one sister: Ann Dahlke of Fairmont, MN.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: Merle, who died in infancy.
