Funeral services for George Lammers of Dayton, OH, formally{sic} of Elma, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elma with Rev. John W. Hemann; officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. The family placed the pall. Pallbearers were his nephews. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
George, 74, died Thursday, May 23, 2002 in Dayton.
George Lammers was born November 14, 1927 in Elma, the eldest child of Herman and Anna Mae (Benson) Lammers. He attended and graduated from the I.C. Academy in Elma. Following school he entered the U.S. Army to serve in W W II.
On June 21, 1952 he married Patricia Determan.
He is survived by six children: Barbara Loe of Stillwater, MN, Ted of Dayton, Sue Richeson of Waxhaw, NC, John of Dayton, Tom of Columbus, OH, and Ruth Lammers of Palatine, IL; eight grandchildren; and one sister: Terrie Kahn of Mason City.
George was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Jack and David.
