Services to be held for Gladys Haven
Funeral services for Gladys Haven of Cresco will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30 at the United Methodist Church in Cresco. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs.
Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
Gladys, 97, died Friday, November 22, 2002 at the Evans Memo¬rial Home in Cresco.
Gladys Jeanette Haven was born June 12, 1905 in Howard County near Foreston, the daughter of Thomas J. and Mary Anne Williams. She graduated from Lime Springs High School.
On December 27, 1925 she married Percy Haven. They moved to Cresco in 1934.
She was a member of the Cresco Methodist Church, a charter member of the Goodwill Club, the Women’s Society and church circle. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Easter{sic} Star and also active in the Twentieth Century Club and the A-Z Sewing Club.
She is survived by one son: Burnell of Independence; one daughter: Helen Hammond of Rochester; four grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. ' , ,
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters: Berdie and Esther.
