Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Harding were held Tuesday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Conway Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Sir officiated. Pallbearers were: Craig Harding, Shawn Kalvelage, James Jagerson, Aaron Jagerson, Ed Block, and Wade Cook. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cresco. Conway Funeral Home of Cresco was in charge of arrangements.Robert, 29, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at the Mercy Hospital in Oelwein.
Robert Darwin Harding was born October 24, 1972, the son of Darwin and Donna (Foss) Harding. He attended and graduated from Crestwood High School. Following his high school, he attended Riverland Technical School and graduated at the top of his class as a master machinist.
On September 4, 1999 he was united in marrige{sic} to Marietta Reindl in Eagle Butte, SD. They lived in Spencer for about a year and a half, moved to Worthington, MN and finally moved to Oelwein.
Bob liked to draw, especially drawings of cars. He enjoyed racing. Cars were his passion.
He is survived by his wife: Marietta of Oelwein; his mother: Donna Harding of Cresco; one brother: Craig and his wife Hillory of El Paso, TX; three sisters: Karen McGrane and her husband Dominic of Cresco, Barb Jagerson of Austin, MN, and Becky Jahr of Cresco; five nephews: Dodge and Casper McGrane, Shawn Kalvelage, James and Aaron Jagerson; and one niece: Emma Harding.
He was preceded in death by his father and his mother-in-law.
