Obituary.
Mrs. Dora Woodard died at the home of the parents of her husband, Edgar Woodard, the cause of her death being consumption. She was born May 14. 1872 in Howard county, as a daughter of Mr. Adam Frank, of Paris township, who died two years ago. At the age of three the child lost her mother. In 1888 she was confirmed by Rev. Heiman, and was a true member of the German Lutheran Church. She married Mr. Woodard December 31. 1895. Two children were born to the parents, a boy and a girl, both living and mourning the mother’s loss. She was taken sick about a year ago in Decorah, where they lived, and four weeks ago was brought, to Cresco by her husband on account of her weakness. In her sickness she was attended with all loving care and spiritually by Rev. C. Niedermeier and Rev. Lane. At 10 o’clock May 31 she died with these words: “O Lord, take my soul.”
The funeral occured{sic} Friday afternoon, the services being held by Rev. Lane at the house of Mr. Woodard and by Rev. Niedermeier at the New Oregon Cemetery.
