Mrs. A. H. Carman.
DIED—At Fairmont, N. D., January 10, 1899, of pneumonia, Emma G., wife of A. H. Carmon.
The illness was only of ten days though Mrs. C.’s health has been very poor for many years. She was a good, faithful, economical wife and mother and always interested in Christian work. She leaves a husband and daughter, now 18, and a son born at Cresco, now 14 years of age. The body was taken to her old home where she was born, brought up and married, and her body for 26 hours lay in the same room where 22 years before she was wedded to the husband she now leaves. Funeral services were held both at Fairmount and Rocky Run, Wis., and the body interred in the cemetery one mile east of her father’s and now lies beside that of her dear mother who preceded her only six years, and from the same disease. Her father and 3 sisters still survive and were at the funeral, and did all in their power to make the burden light for the husband who returns to Dakota to care for the church and the now motherless children.

Transcriber’s Note: The last name is spelled two different ways.
