Mrs. Augusta Louise Earler, mother of P. G Erler, of this place, died at Waucoma, Iowa, January 9, 1899, aged 75 years. Deceased was born in the Province of Silesia, Germany, July 23, 1823, she was united in marriage to August Erler, October 24, 1847, and emigrated to America in 1855, residing in Janesville, Wis. for ten years, removing from there to Chickasaw county in 1865 and settling upon a farm near Little Turkey, where she resided until two years ago, when she moved to Waucoma, where her declining years spent, under the tender and loving care of her two daughters, Missee August and Clara.
