Leo Valvoda, 84, died Saturday, September 22, 2001 in Lady Lake, FL where he had retired in 1996. Leo William Valvoda was born in Cresco in 1917. He was buried on September 26 in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
Before retiring he worked as a sales manager for Muzak. Leo served in the U S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus Council 1003 in Lady Lake.
He is survived by his wife Montyne; daughters: Maria Hughes of Lakewood, CO and Donna Douglas of West Chester, PA; and four grandchildren.
